As Executive Chef of The Gwen, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Chicago, Matt Jergens oversees the culinary direction of the hotel. Chef Matt began his culinary career in Boston and quickly moved up the ladder. He has held various kitchen positions, including Chef de Cuisine for Clink. As well as Executive Sous Chef for The Liberty Hotel, Boston. Chef Matt moved into the Executive position at The Gwen in September 2017. A Midwest native coupled with a New England upbringing allows Chef Matt to use his expertise of the different regions and their culinary past and present to craft unique experiences for guests making for a quintessentially Chicago visit. With a focus on utilizing local farmers and purveyors, menus will evolve to reflect the changing seasons and ingredients that accompany them.
