A Series of Chef Dinners, Cocktail Tastings, Art, and Wellness Events to Kick Off Summer
The first annual Strawberry Moon, Food & Wine Fest will take place June 24-27, under the first full moon of the summer.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind culinary journey featuring nightly art and cocktail receptions and dinners starring friends of James Beard Award-Winning Chef Carrie Nahabedian (Kostali by NAHA), including Top Chef contestant Chef Dale Talde (Food Crush Hospitality), sommelier and Chef Ken Vedrinski (Trattoria Lucca and Coda del Pesce, Charleston) and farm-to-table pioneer Chef Jeff Jackson (A.R. Valentien at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, La Jolla). A Saturday morning rooftop yoga experience will introduce a moment of zen while a special edition of Tipsy Tea on Sunday will include a Kendra Scott trunk show. Michelin-starred Chef Kevin Hickey (The Duck Inn, Chicago) will wrap up the four-day fest on a high note with a Sunday BBQ on the terrace.

Art of the Cocktail Reception & Chef Dinner Series
Guests will begin each evening on the terrace with a 60-minute reception where they can taste specialty cocktails and small bites from Executive Chef Matt Jergens while engaging with local mixologists and spirit producers to learn more about the art of the cocktail.
Bringing The Gwen’s appreciation of art to life, local female artists, Jas Petersen, Britni Mara and Bre Smith will create one-of-a-kind paintings live during the reception, which will be available for charitable silent auction at the end of the evening. Auction proceeds will go to The Trotter Project, which creates and invests in programs to advance education opportunities, sustainable agriculture, and food security.
As the Strawberry Moon rises, guests will make their way to Kostali by NAHA for a transportive, coastal dining experience. Each night, a new guest chef will join Chef Carrie Nahabedian in the kitchen to prepare a three-course, family-style menu inspired by the great coasts of the Mediterranean, including Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Tunisia, Lebanon, Israel and Morocco. Chefs Jeff Jackson, Ken Vedrinski and Chicago-native Dale Talde will create signature dishes that showcase their creative interpretations of coastal cuisine. Michael Nahabedian will personally select Mediterranean wine and bubble pairings through a partnership with Ted Diamantis of Diamond Wine Imports while dessert from Brindille’s Pastry Chef, Craig Harzewski will provide a sweet end to the night.
Individual tickets for one night are inclusive of both the cocktail reception and seated dinner. Wine pairings at dinner are included.

Morning Rooftop Yoga
Rise, shine, and skip the studio in favor of an 8 AM rooftop yoga session with cityscape views. Away from the bustle of Michigan Avenue yet in the center of it all, the 60-minute session led by certified instructor Katherine Forst offers a moment to relax, reset and refocus energy on the weekend ahead. After yoga stick around for a special beverage on us and stay even longer to enjoy our rooftop brunch with service starting at 10am. Saturday Morning Yoga will continue weekly through September 25, 2021.
Tipsy Tea x Kendra Scott Trunk Show
The city’s number one spot to spill the tea all summer long is Tipsy Tea, Kostali by NAHA’s totally reimagined take on tea service. From the décor to the aromatics to the ambiance to the boozy tea cocktails, Tipsy Tea is a high energy experience for the senses. Available every weekend, the special Strawberry Moon Fest experience on Saturday and Sunday, June 26 and 27, will include a Kendra Scott trunk show so you can shop while you sip. The latest pieces from the popular jewelry designer will be available for purchase, with styling advice from the Kendra Scott Chicago team.
Sunday BBQ with a View
On Sunday afternoon, Chicago favorite, Chef Kevin Hickey (The Duck Inn) will fire up the grill and turn the terrace at Upstairs at The Gwen into the ultimate backyard party right in the heart of downtown Chicago. Guests will be treated to an a la carte menu of BBQ classics served up alongside specialty cocktail pairings.
